Frequently Asked Questions
What does a typical day look like for boarding and daycare dogs?
At The Pups' Palace, we understand that social interaction can easily lead to overstimulation, so we allow the dogs to have a break in the middle of the day to allow time to decompress and prevent overwhelm, which in turn reduces anxiety and risk of altercations. We also offer optional enrichment during breaks for dogs that need extra stimulation.
Here's our daily schedule:
6 AM - 8 AM: Boarding dogs go outside, their rooms are thoroughly cleaned, and they receive their breakfast.
8 AM - 11 AM: Eligible daycare and boarding dogs participate in supervised play groups.
10 AM - 11 AM: Break - Daycare and boarding dogs relax in their private rooms. This is when lunches and food-based enrichments items are given upon request.
11 AM - 12 PM: Break - Daycare and boarding dogs relax and decompress in their private rooms. Upon request, some dogs receive activity-based enrichment services at this this time.
1 PM - 4 PM: Eligible daycare and boarding dogs participate in supervised play groups.
4 PM - 6 PM: Boarding dogs receive their dinner, then go outside for the last time between 5 - 6 PM
What should I bring for my dog for their boarding stay?
FOOD
We highly recommend bringing your own food for your dog to lower the chance of stomach upset during their stay.
Please write your dogs first and last name on the food container/bag prior to their stay.
We also have a refrigerator to keep food cold if needed.
BEDDING
We prefer to use our own bedding, but you may bring one small blanket if you wish.
OTHER ITEMS
You may bring treats and chew bones for your dog, and these will be given at meal times.
You may bring one toy for your dog, and your dog will have access to it during break times.
Please do not bring your own bowls, as we prefer to use our own. Slow feeder and elevated bowls are accepted.
What if my dog takes medication?
Our staff is able to administer medications ranging from ointments and drops, to pills and even injections.
Please provide written instructions that include the name/purpose of the medication.
There will be a one-time $5 fee added to your reservation for each dog requiring medication.
Can I bring lunch for my dog while they're at daycare?
Absolutely! Just write your dogs name on their lunch bag/box and leave it with the receptionist at drop-off. Lunch will be given at 11 AM, and your empty bag/box will be placed on the front desk for you to grab at pick-up.
What if I forget to bring their food? Or what if I don't want to bring my own food?
Palace provided meals may be given to your dog at $2/meal.
